What Is Inpatient Rehab?

Inpatient rehab also referred to as residential treatment, offers an intensely structured and immersive approach to addiction treatment. Patients reside at the facility, where they receive evidence-based treatment led by licensed professionals throughout the day, free from the influence of drugs and alcohol. Known as residential rehab, this treatment model involves patients staying at the facility for an extended period, usually 30 to 90 days. This structured environment ensures round-the-clock care, medical supervision, and a variety of therapies tailored to address the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of addiction.

Why are we different?

At InnerBalance, we believe that personalized addiction treatment is the key to success. Addiction affects everyone differently, which is why a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment is not effective. Our experienced professionals will work closely with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their specific needs, challenges, and goals.

What sets us apart from other rehab centers is personalized addiction treatment that allows us to identify and address any underlying mental health issues that may be contributing to addiction.

We believe that long-term success requires a healing strategy that is really holistic. Since addiction is a disease that affects the entire individual, a real holistic approach takes into account the physical, emotional, and spiritual elements of addiction.

How does inpatient rehab work?

The inpatient admission and treatment process for substance use involves assessment, detoxification (detox), and therapy. Additionally, we offer acute stabilization for individuals experiencing mental health symptoms such as suicidal ideation or hallucinations.

Assessment:

Treatment commences with a confidential assessment conducted by a social worker or counselor. Your treatment team collaborates with you to determine the most suitable level of care for your recovery journey.

Detoxification:

Detox aids in discontinuing drugs or alcohol use and achieving medical stability. Attempting detoxification independently is hazardous and increases the likelihood of relapse. We offer fully supervised detox services to minimize discomfort and prioritize patient safety. Our facilities also integrate therapeutic programming throughout the detox process.

Withdrawal symptoms vary depending on the substance used, ranging from mild cravings to anxiety or hallucinations. These symptoms may manifest within hours or up to several days after the last usage. The duration of detoxification varies based on factors such as the substance used, individual symptoms, and other unique considerations.

Medically-assisted detox may be available depending on the substance used and withdrawal symptoms. This can involve medications to manage blood pressure during alcohol withdrawal or various other comfort or anti-craving medications to address physical withdrawal symptoms.

Therapy:

Therapeutic interventions commence during detox and persist beyond the resolution of physical withdrawal symptoms. At this stage, you may receive dual diagnosis treatment if you struggle with both addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions.

Inpatient rehab therapies encompass individual and group therapy, family meetings, support groups, recreational activities, and educational programs

How long is inpatient rehab?

The length of inpatient rehab can vary depending on the specific program and the individual. Our inpatient treatment program is a 28-day program with ongoing after care as needed. We also offer both a 28-day intensive outpatient program as well as a 20-day standard outpatient program for those that are able to commute to our facility each day.

The length of treatment isn’t a set period, as it depends on several factors, including the severity of the addiction, the existence of any co-occurring mental health conditions, and whether the person has been through rehab before.

Is inpatient addiction treatment right for me?

Inpatient rehab has the potential to transform your life if any of these circumstances resonate with you. Allow us to guide you in envisioning a future free from substances.

  • My life has been deeply affected by alcohol or drug misuse.
  • I would benefit from removing myself from triggering environments or individuals.
  • I am eager to devote myself entirely to the recovery process.
  • Previous treatment methods have proven unsuccessful for me.
  • My home environment lacks stability or safety.
  • I have attempted outpatient care previously, but it did not yield positive results.

How much does inpatient addiction treatment cost?

If insured, finding out if a treatment center accepts your insurance is the first step, as your insurance may help cover some costs. Please see our addiction treatment costs page or call 1-800-900-2252 for more details.
